Expert: Real estate tax law takes social justice into account
Chairman of the Committee for Real Estate Property Tax at the French Chamber of Commerce Amr al-Monier said the real estate tax law will take into consideration social justice, also calling for a clear tax policy so investors can evaluate their plans and studies based on a stable policy and not a changeable law. Monier made his statement during a seminar organized by the French Chamber of Commerce Tuesday evening, entitled "The real estate taxes: Its application problems and solutions" attended by Tarek Farag, Advisor to the Finance Minister for real estate taxes. Farag discussed elements in the real estate tax law, which were issued on June 24, 2008, stressing that the law will not be applied retroactively and the tax can be paid in two installments throughout the year.
